An Update to our Community
Over the past few weeks, we’ve made significant progress in listening, learning, and collaborating with you—our fans, supporters, and partners.
In the spirit of keeping our community involved and bringing some transparency to our process, here’s an update on what we’ve been working on:
Fan Feedback Survey
We received over 1,000 responses to our Fan Feedback Survey . Your insights, stories, and suggestions have been invaluable. To honor our commitment to transparency, we’ve compiled and shared a summary of the feedback we’ve collected so far.
Virtual Fan Feedback Sessions
We invited fans who completed the survey to join one of two virtual Fan Feedback sessions held this month. These sessions allowed us to engage in deeper conversations, hear your ideas firsthand, and better understand your vision for our club. Many fans spoke to the importance of aligning our team’s identity with the inclusivity and community focus that originally drew them to the club. Your input is shaping the future of this club.
Supporter Listening Session
We also held a dedicated listening session with representatives of our independent supporters’ group Boston ISA. The session underscored the enthusiasm for the club’s potential and a shared dedication to its success. Alongside this, the supporters reiterated their firm opposition to the current team name, providing their reasoning and voicing hope for a change.
Local Professional Women’s Sports Teams Listening Session
As part of our efforts to foster collaboration and learn from those who have helped pave the way, we connected with the leaders of Boston's and New England’s women’s professional teams. These conversations reinforced the collective strength of women’s sports and provided valuable insights on building a legacy that reflects the resilience and passion of our athletes and fans. This is just the beginning of a collaboration we’re excited to grow.
Connecting One on One
We’ve been engaged in more than 50 conversations with athletes, creatives, marketers, advocacy organizations, and community members across the intersection of sports, equity, and inclusion. These one-on-one conversations have been invaluable, offering a clearer picture of how we can build a club that truly reflects the values, diversity, and spirit of our communities.
What’s Next?
Our work is far from over. In the weeks ahead, we’ll continue engaging with fans, supporters, and advisors to shape the future of this club together. Transparent communication remains at the heart of this process, and we’ll share updates—big or small—as they unfold.
If you haven’t had a chance to share your thoughts yet, we invite you to contribute through this quick feedback form by January 5, 2025.
We'll add more information as we have it, so please check back here for updates.
